A master's thesis in the College of Fine Arts at Basra University examined the philosophy of language and its uses in contemporary Iraqi painting (an analytical study).

The message presented by the student Ayoub Banu Hassoun included four chapters. The first chapter began with the following questions, What is the effect of the philosophy of language in contemporary Iraqi plastic texts, and what is the message that the artist transmits when he employs the language and considers it an aesthetic and intellectual element.

The second chapter is concerned with the definition of language, the emergence of philosophy in it, and the theories of the emergence of language.

The third chapter included the research community, the research sample, and the methodology used for the analysis.

It showed the importance of research by employing language in contemporary Iraqi painting.

The varied use of language methodologies in plastic texts, such as (overexpression), as it works on the subjective axis of language.
