A master's thesis in the College of Fine Arts at Basra University examined the linguistic representation of visual text in contemporary art (an analytical study)

The message presented by student Iman Habib Abdel Zahra included four chapters. The first chapter was devoted to presenting the research problem. The relationship of linguistics and analytical philosophy to intellectual transformation and the role of language in achieving the communicative act in art.

The second chapter included three discussions between the first topic, the role of language between linguistics and analytical philosophy, which included the proposals of some philosophers and thinkers, while the second topic read the work of art as a visual text.

And the third topic deals with aesthetic representation as a language in art

As for the third chapter, it was devoted to research work, which included the research community. The researcher selected a sample of (25) models and intentionally.

The fourth chapter shows the results and conclusions reached by the current study

The language is a cognitive tool capable of representing and exchanging ideas through linguistic vocabulary such as words and parts of words in turn are signs of semantic and cognitive value, and the contemporary artist did not stop at the point of employing a single language within the textual space, but began to include the visual text in different languages
