
Under the patronage of the president of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra organized a specialized workshop in the field of Film Editing.
The workshop was held in the audio-visual arts department (Production Lab), in cooperation with the media division at the college, and aimed to provide the most important tips and lessons related to film editing, while highlighting the most prominent programs and techniques that contribute to the production of an integrated and distinctive artwork.
The workshop was presented by Mr. Ahmed Juma, media supervisor at the college, under the supervision of the head of the Department of audio-visual arts A.M.Dr. In the presence of the director of the media division at the college, professor Samir Rahim al-Malki, and included a detailed explanation on a range of important topics. The workshop included a review of Adobe Premiere Pro as one of the most important editing tools, in addition to learning about the principles of sound engineering for film, film coloring, and the most important skills required to produce a high-quality film.
This workshop comes as part of a series of training activities organized by the department to enhance the practical skills of students of the Department of audio-visual arts, and the workshop includes all stages of study in the Department.
It is worth mentioning that the workshop continues to provide its diverse educational content, which contributes to refining the skills of students and preparing them to enter the artistic and cinematic labor market with confidence and efficiency.
