Under the patronage of the president of Basra University, Dr. Muhannad Jawad al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed. The division of continuing education at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Basra University, in cooperation with the psychological counseling unit at the Faculty of education for the humanities, organized a seminar on legal and illegal immigration and the Islamic view of it. 
The seminar aimed at a careful and responsible consideration of the topic of migration and its effects.
The seminar, in which Dr. Abdulkarim Zayer lectured, included explaining the topic of migration and the reasons leading to it at the social, political, economic level and regional conditions.
