I researched a master's thesis in the College of Fine Arts at Basra University (technical transformation and its impact on formal organization in contemporary Iraqi painting)
The thesis submitted by the student (Hamsa Ahmed Abdel Qader) contained four chapters. The first chapter was to define the research problem.
As for the second chapter, it contains three topics. The first topic deals with formal organization within a philosophical and artistic vision of the concept of form in addition to the factors that affected the formal organization
The second topic dealt with technical transformation in the context of the concept of general transformation and the factors affecting transformation up to the transformation in painting
While the third topic deals with the intellectual bases of the aesthetic values of the 20th century arts and the effect of the material as a technical medium.
Among the conclusions reached by the researcher:
The new technology provided the art painting with new ideas that displaced the traditional and classic verb
Raw materials and materials appeared
New gave previously unfamiliar palates
- The artist employed objects latent in different places, which helped him mature his ideas and strengthen his performance
- What prompted the Iraqi artist to work on the material is not only as a material mediator with meaning or feelings, but as a structure that has its own being and its independent aesthetic presence due to the properties it carries that have an effect when employed in the work and the power it has in the elements.
