Under the patronage of the president of the University of Basra, Dr. Muhannad Jawad al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed, the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Musical Arts, organized a seminar on the technique of instrumental templates in Arabic music.
The seminar aims to present the styles of Arab music composers in Arabic instrumental templates such as Audi, Longa, bachraf, Taksim and free music, including Western ones that have been introduced to the reality of our Arabic music such as Caprice, polka and others.
The panel discussion was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Najm Mishary, and was discussed by Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Odeh, head of the Department of musical arts, and was attended by a group of professors of the University of Basra and specialized students of the Department.
It should be noted that the importance of such scientific seminars is mainly aimed at presenting our templates and presenting them to the recipients and specialists of our Arabic music and preserving our identity.
