As part of its keenness to strengthen communication with the community and develop artistic talents among students, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra received a group of students from Uhud Government Boys School, under the direct supervision of the dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed Al-esteemed.
The visit witnessed a variety of events and artistic activities that were highly acclaimed by the students, as the program began with a tour of the various departments of the college. The visit started from the Department of Plastic Arts, where students had the opportunity to view and interact with the works of the Department's students, in addition to participating in some practical artistic experiments that strengthened their love of the arts and ignited the spirit of creativity.
The tour also included a visit to the Department of Musical Arts, where the pupils enjoyed watching musical performances, got acquainted firsthand with various musical instruments and their role in artistic formation. The tour continued with a visit to the audiovisual arts department, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the methods of production of audiovisual works and the mechanisms of their implementation.
The students expressed their great happiness with this visit, which they called an exciting and useful experience, as they expressed their admiration for what they saw and learned during the tour. The administration of Uhud school for boys also expressed its great gratitude to the Faculty of Fine Arts for the warm welcome and its keenness to provide distinctive educational and interactive activities that contribute to refining the talents of students and developing their abilities.
For its part, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra confirmed its continued reception of educational institutions and talented students from the schools of Basra governorate in order to support their artistic talents and extend bridges of cooperation with various segments of society. These initiatives are part of the college's mission to spread the artistic culture and enhance the role of the Arts in building a creative and conscious generation.
