Basra University organizes a seminar on the aesthetics of depicting paradise in Islamic art

Under the patronage of the president of the University of Basra, Dr. Muhannad Jawad al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed. The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, division of Continuing Education, organized a seminar on the aesthetics of depicting paradise in Islamic art.
The seminar aimed to identify the importance of Islamic art and its aesthetics.
The seminar, which was attended by Professor Dr. Ali Sharif Jabr, included explaining the Muslim artist's perceptions of religious references including the concept of paradise and his attempt to represent it in Islamic art, which included architecture, sculpture, painting, ceramics and plastic arts in general.
