A master's thesis at Basra University examining (the actor's performance of the theatrical character and criticism of the social taboo)

I examined a master's thesis in the College of Fine Arts at Basra University (Actor's Performance of the Theatrical Character and Criticism of the Social Taboo) for the student Ali Hassan Abdullah Al-Mayah

The study dealt with the concept of the religious tabu, the political taboo, and the social taboo, and how the theater can override the criticism of the (social taboo) through the representative performance of the theatrical character.

The message touched on the social problem, which is considered to be the problem of the social system that is feasible for humanity, capable of solving the internal crisis arising from man’s love for himself on the one hand, and this love opposes the interests of society on the other hand.

The message concluded that the theater was and still is a stage for proposing and discussing issues and expressing opinions, whether by synthesis or in violation, and from here the confrontation became frank and overt between the theater and those authorities, and how the theater was able to bypass the social taboo criticism through (representative performance) of the theatrical character
