A master's thesis at Basra University discusses sociotechnological patterns and their effectiveness in the performance of the Iraqi theater actor

A master's thesis was discussed in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Marla Hall, tagged (Sociological coordination and effectiveness in the performance of the Iraqi theater actor) for graduate student Hammam Abdul-Jabbar Turki

It falls into four chapters, where the first chapter (the methodological framework) includes the research problem that focused on the question (How were the sociotechnological systems represented in the performance of the Iraqi theater actor?) To achieve the goal of his research, which was to identify the nature and this chapter included the importance of research and its limits, And a definition of the terms (consistency, sociotechnology, effectiveness).

The research in the second chapter dealt with (the theoretical framework), which included three topics. The first topic came under the title (technology of society) and discussed the concept of relations between (human-society) and (human-technology) and (society-technology) to be put at the end of the topic Abstracts represented by the concept and worlds of those relationships, and its approach with theatrical drama. The second topic, entitled (Sociotechnological Performance: Reproduction of Society), dealt with several relationships, represented by (simulation and shaping performance) and its approach with the concept of sociotechnology that the researcher reached in the first topic, and (play and shaping performance) in addition to the structure of performance.

The topic ended with a re-reading of the performance trends or tracks that he divided in light of three intellectual axes from which theater in general and theatrical performance in particular was launched in crystallizing the concept of performance and its mechanisms, as follows:

1- A simulation of the human being (calling the example being a desired meaning - classicism as a model).

2- Human reproduction (the desired meaning of man himself - trends of modernity as a model).

3- Playing difference (meaning in the dialectic of difference - postmodern trends as a model)

As for the third topic entitled (Theatrical Performance Patterns and Sociotechnology Effectiveness), which deals with the effectiveness of sociotechnology in theatrical performance, according to its historical tracing. The researcher summarized from the theoretical framework and the propositions it contained to several indicators.

While the third chapter (Research Procedures) came on an analysis of the research sample that consisted of five models that came in accordance with the researcher's findings of performance patterns due to the effectiveness of sociotechnology, as follows:

1- The coordination of a realistic psychological performance (the play “Summer Rain).

2- The coordination of the performance in the lit space (black and white film play)

3- The dynamic-live performance coordination (hissing play)

4- The coordination of the performance in dramatic dance (Nada al-Matar play)

5- The coordination of performance in the multimedia space (theater play)

And to the end of the fourth chapter, which included the results and conclusions of the research, in addition to the recommendations and proposals, and the sources and references of this research were proven, up to the summary of the research in the English language. (The researcher obtained a degree of excellence)
