A master's thesis at Basra University discusses the strategy of delaying meaning in contemporary theater performance

The master's thesis was discussed in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Marla Hall, tagged (Strategy Delaying Meaning in Contemporary Theater Performance) by graduate student Abbas Kazem Rahima

The researcher defined his research data in four chapters, which can be summarized as follows:

The first chapter: the methodological framework, including the research problem, has been formulated with the following question: ((How is the meaning delay process in the contemporary theatrical presentation activated through the strategy of difference and plurality?)) The methodological framework also included: the importance of research, its objectives and its limits, and the definition of terms in language, convention and procedure, ( Strategy, delay, meaning).

The second chapter included the theoretical framework on three topics as follows:

The first topic: Foundations of delaying the philosophical and conceptual meaning.

The second topic: Delaying meaning in modern theater.

The third topic: Delaying meaning in postmodern theater performances. Then the researcher came up with all the indicators of the theoretical framework that the research resulted in and the researcher adopted them in analyzing the sample.

The researcher devoted the third chapter to the research procedures, which is concerned with determining the research community, selecting the sample and analyzing it.

2- The Camp play, directed by Muhannad Hadi.

3- Hissat play, directed by Maher Abdul-Jabbar Al-Ketebani.

4- A play of reprimand, directed by Anas Abdel Samad.

5- The cafe play, directed by Tahrir Al-Asadi.

As for the fourth chapter, it may be represented by the research results and their discussion, conclusions, recommendations, and proposals.

The researcher has also attached, at the end of the research, all sources, appendices and abstract in English.
