Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad al-Asadi, president of the University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed, dean of the college. The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled "common language errors in scientific research".
The symposium aimed to highlight the most prominent linguistic errors that researchers may make, both in spelling and grammatical aspects, focusing on ways to correct them according to sound linguistic foundations, which contributes to enhancing the quality of scientific research and its linguistic accuracy.
The seminar, which was attended by Assistant Teacher Haitham Zaki Abdulkader, included several basic topics, including grammar, spelling, punctuation marks, and linguistic nuances, where practical examples were reviewed showing how to avoid common mistakes in academic writing.
