Within the framework of promoting openness and communication between academic institutions and civil society organizations, professor Dr. Nasser Samari Jaafar, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, visited Hamdi gallery of Fine Arts. During the visit, he was accompanied by the director of the gallery Hamed Saeed, the teacher Hassan Faleh, and the artist Haider al-Saad.
During the meeting, they discussed the mechanisms of continuous cooperation between the Faculty of Fine Arts and civil society organizations in the province, with the aim of exchanging experiences, promoting cultural awareness, and dedicating artistic communication between the University and relevant institutions in various regions of Basra.
The meeting was also attended by a number of academic and social figures, including Mr. Emad Salim jarmel, a member of the Union of peasant associations, Dr. Abdul Hamid Abdul Yima al-Jabri, Dr. Adnan Jabbar al-Jabri, Mr. Ahmed Abdul Nabi, Dr. Abdul Majid from Maysan governorate, in addition to Dr. Adnan from Baghdad.
This visit comes in the context of the keenness of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra to build bridges of cooperation with various cultural and artistic entities, which contributes to the development of the artistic scene and support the cultural movement in the province.
