Under the patronage of the president of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad al– Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Nasser Samari Jafar, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, Department of Plastic Arts, organized a special art exhibition entitled "The Tale of clay" for students of the first and second stage-pottery, with a wide academic and cultural presence.
The exhibition aims to crown the efforts of students during a busy academic year, where the participants expressed through their artworks their great passion for art and their understanding of the technical and aesthetic concepts they acquired in the framework of academic study. 
The exhibition included a collection of pottery artworks, and the topics dealt with by the students varied between the traditional and modern nature, reflecting the diversity of their creative backgrounds and their deep understanding of the nature of pottery as an expressive and authentic human art.
Through this activity, the University of Basra emphasizes the importance of supporting student creativity and providing platforms that allow students to express their energies and talents within an integrated scientific and artistic context.
