Al-Kinani welcomed the new students to congratulate them on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2020-2021, conveying the greetings and message of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, to them, stressing the spirit of perseverance and diligence and working on building the scientific and artistic creative academic personality, stressing that the audio and visual department is one of the important and rare departments in the Faculties The arts enjoys great prestige in the labor market, especially as the world is moving to digital media and developing as a result of the rapid changes in technology and programs, noting that the department prepares the creative energies to work in the field of specialization and the development of productive talents.

In the meeting, which was attended by the head of the audiovisual department, Dr. Sarmad Yassin, Al-Kinani indicated that the college is distinguished by a high position among art colleges and has held many specific activities and festivals in light of the Corona pandemic, such as the first virtual mobile cinema festival that deals with the issue of health security and achieved a presence on communication platforms with the participation of 20 films.
