A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra examined the kinetic metaphor in the performance of the Iraqi theater actor.
The thesis presented by the researcher Haider Ali Hassan aims to focus on the mechanism of action of the kinetic metaphor through the body of the actor as a dramatic language capable of interpreting the Performing vocabulary.
The message included the subject of the kinetic metaphor, that is, the transformation of ordinary everyday movements into significant artistic symbols within the show.
The thesis concluded that the kinetic metaphor takes hermeneutical and semantic forms that give the acting performance an implicit dimension through simulation and metaphor.
