A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra examined the semantic and graphic construction of the emblem of the Iraqi state (applied study).
The message presented by the researcher Abdul Hamid ya'rib Ahmed aims to formulate a vision for the design of a logo for the Republic of Iraq that draws its symbols from ancient history and re-presents them graphically according to the standards of modernity, simplicity and excellence.
The message included the theme of symbols and logos and their importance as intensive tools for conveying meanings and strengthening belonging and collective identity.
The letter concluded that symbolic representation throughout the history of civilization is important in strengthening the link between the present and the cultural legacy left by the country's past.
