The Dean of the College of Fine Arts opens an exhibition of creative touches

In light of the university’s openness to society and its support for the talented segment in the city, the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, opened the plastic exhibition (Creative Touches) at the Artists Syndicate Hall in Basra, which is organized by the Plastic Visions Forum.

Al-Kinani mentioned that Basra University and the College of Fine Arts are open to society and supportive of academics and knowledge.

He added that it is a pleasure to see this distinguished artistic and cultural movement in Basra, stressing the college’s readiness to receive talented people in the city and their participation during the establishment of its artistic workshops, as well as the university’s support for artistic and cultural activities, pointing to the university’s keenness and guidance on communicating with the community.

Al-Kinani praised the role of the Artists Syndicate in Basra and its management, which is always proactive and supportive of visual artistic talents, a role it has played since the reconstruction campaign for the building, which restored the union's role in supporting the activities of artists in Basra.

It is worth noting that an exhibition of creative touches was attended by a number of amateur artists in Basra, including the artist Azhar Bashir and the artists Basma Al-Obaidi, Aseel Kamel, Sari Al-Haddad and Inas Hussein
