The Dean of the College of Fine Arts meets with students of the first stage of the Department of Musical Arts

The Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, met the first-year students in the Department of Musical Arts.
Al-Kinani welcomed the new students to congratulate them on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2020-2021, and conveyed the greetings and message of the University President, Prof. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, to them, stressing them. Excellence and distinction, and investing the opportunity of university study in building oneself and refining talents, because music depends on skills and taste, which urges students to develop their artistic abilities in the field of musical appreciation.
 Al-Kinani added that the acceptance of students in the college depends mainly on talent, and that a talented student is one who shows a high level of performance and has talent and abilities that differ from his peers, which is the wealth of society and his hope for progress. Noting that the Department of Music prepares the creative energies to work in the field of specialization and the development of productive talents.
In the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Department of Musical Arts, Dr. Ali Najm Mishari, Al-Kinani pointed out that the college is distinguished by the presence of teaching cadres with a presence in the Iraqi art and visual scene. It enjoys a high position in society, and this is evidenced by the establishment of many quality activities and festivals even in light of the Corona pandemic.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Kinani gave a comprehensive presentation of the directives, controls and instructions that must be adhered to, as well as advice to show good morals and good university behavior, indicating the department's excellence in providing voluntary initiatives and creating a spirit of love, cooperation and brotherhood among students and professors as a platform for culture and art.
