The Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Department of student activities at the College, organized an artistic seminar entitled "developing the skills of professors of artistic activities at the university", as part of the college's endeavor to enhance the efficiency of teaching staff and activate the role of artistic activities in the university environment.
The seminar aims to develop the skills of professors of Technical Student Activities in the fields of cultural management and creative interaction with students, which contributes to upgrading the level of activities and stimulating talented student energies in various disciplines.
The seminar, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Saleh Dasher, included a presentation in which he discussed the role of the University professor in artistic activities and the importance of being effective and influential in discovering talented students within the scientific and humanitarian faculties, as well as training and following them up on the field to prepare artistic works that contribute to enrich the cultural scene inside and outside the University.
The seminar concluded with a series of discussions and interventions that stressed the need to develop mechanisms to support student talents and provide a stimulating artistic environment that enhances the status of Basra University as a cultural and artistic Radiation Center in the community.
