The Department of Musical Arts at the College of Fine Arts, in cooperation with the Advanced Training Center in the South, held an awareness lecture on drugs and their impact on society. The lecture was moderated by Brigadier General Talal Ali Hussein, Commander of the Advanced Training Center in the South and presented by the lecturer, Dean of Lawyers Ali Jihad Hussein.
The lecture aims to introduce young people to the effects of drug abuse and its negative impact on society. The lecture, which began with a musical performance by professors from the Department of Musical Arts, Hussein mentioned an introduction to drugs, the legal side of the abuser, methods of prevention and treatment, and indicated that the most important reasons for the abuser are psychological and weak faith Neglect of parenting, care, taking medicines without a prescription and vacuum.
The lecture, which was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, and Head of the Musical Arts Department, Ali Najm Mishari, and a group of teachers and a group of college students, recommended avoiding violence and cruelty, dealing with children, monitoring friends and those around them, and launching awareness campaigns.
