Under the patronage of the president of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Nasser Samari Jafar, the Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Fine Arts organized a specialized art workshop entitled "mechanisms of production and rehabilitation of frame painting".
The workshop aims to provide participants with the basic skills in making canvas painting frames, according to practical steps that begin with identifying the appropriate types of wood, accurate measurement and cutting methods, through stretching the fabric and processing its surface, to be ready to carry out artistic works with high professionalism.
The workshop was presented by teacher Ihsan Ali Hussein and assistant teacher Fadia Akil Jabbar, who provided a detailed explanation and practical applications that enabled the participants to gain technical experience that contributes to enhancing the quality of plastic works and ensuring their durability.
