The Department of Performing Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra participated in the activities of the twentieth session of the Arab forum for children's theater, which was held in the Republic of Tunisia for the duration of 20 – 25 / 12 / 2025 with the broad participation of a number of Arab countries.
The participation of the Faculty of Fine Arts came through the presentation of a theatrical performance entitled "rabbit and winter", directed and represented by student Maryam Ahmed Ismail, and supervised by M.M. Yasser Muthanna Abdul-Jabbar, in the framework of promoting cultural and artistic exchange between the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra and Arab theatrical institutions and events specialized in children's theater.
The forum witnessed the participation of eleven theatrical performances from different Arab countries, in addition to the presence of a selection of prominent Arab figures and actors in the field of children's theater.
The theatrical performance was met with remarkable interaction by the audience, because of the educational and artistic vision it carries, and the educational and moral contents it embodies, stressing the role of theater as a fundamental pillar in building a person and developing the child's awareness culturally and humanely.
