The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, represented by the Women Empowerment unit, organized a scientific symposium entitled “The Journey of being towards the homeland of creativity”, in the framework of enhancing intellectual and aesthetic awareness among students and those interested in artistic and Cultural Affairs.
The seminar aims to shed light on the concept of “being” by presenting models and examples to a number of artists, and to demonstrate the reflection of this concept on the creative and artistic experience.
The seminar, which was attended by assistant teacher Sarah Jassim Khazal and assistant teacher Safa Mowafaq Abdul Samad, included an intellectual presentation that addressed being as a human sense of self, existence and position in the world, while explaining how to translate this awareness into a creative act embodied in thought, art and various forms of artistic expression, contributing to building a conscious artistic personality capable of production and creativity.
