Under the patronage of the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, a department at Basra University, in cooperation with the Shanashil technical team, set up the Love and Creativity Festival
 The opening was attended by a group of deans of the Bab Al-Zubair colleges website, Dr. Mazen Al-Hawaz, Dean of the College of Medicine Al-Zahraa, and Dr. Nursing Al-Mousawi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts
In a speech delivered on behalf of the President of the University, Al-Kinani welcomed the attendees and students and welcomed the guests, conveying his greetings and blessings to this festival, which is held to support them with the creative energies of young people in the university and the city.
Al-Kinani praised the efforts of Dr. Faisal Ghazi, Director of the University Department at the university, his initiative and efforts in supporting students, as well as the efforts of the obedient student Jabbar from the Department of Art Education and the technical team of Shanashil in containing the creative youth.
And the university’s role in embracing the talents of young people to motivate them to creativity and development and employ their talents that benefit society, in addition to the directives of cultural and artistic institutions to initiate such an initiative by holding events in Basra's public squares, workshops and festivals.
 Al-Kinani stressed the healthy and preventive side, and moving away from previous periods.
