Basra University organizes an attendance workshop entitled (method of casting gypsum in silicone molds)

The Faculty of Fine Arts – University of Basra, represented by the Continuing Education Unit, organized a specialized workshop entitled (gypsum method in silicon molds), as part of its efforts to support the applied skills of students and enhance their expertise in the fields of art formation.
The workshop aims to introduce students to the scientific foundations and simplified methods in the implementation of manual works using the technology of gypsum casting inside silicone molds, focusing on the technical aspects that ensure the quality and accuracy of the product, and the development of aesthetic sense and craftsmanship skills.
The workshop, which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Khawla Ghadban Obaid, teacher mayad Musa Hassan, and assistant teacher wajdan Shahid Mohammed, included a presentation of live application models in front of the audience, a detailed explanation of the mechanisms for preparing molds, the correct casting methods, and how to avoid common mistakes, up to the output of the artwork in an elaborate format that expresses technical understanding and aesthetic awareness.
The workshop witnessed an interaction from the attendees, who showed great interest in the applied aspects, stressing the importance of such activities in honing their skills and linking the theoretical side with practical practice, thus contributing to the preparation of a conscious technical generation that possesses its knowledge and technical tools with confidence and ability.
