The thesis presented by the researcher (Loujain Mohamed Gabr) aims to reveal the study of this dystopian phenomenon as a visual discourse in the plastic arts.
The thesis included the theme of dystopia as the antithesis of utopia, traces its roots in mythology, religion and philosophy, before studying its transformation in literature, cinema and visual arts.
The thesis concluded that dystopia in contemporary plastic art has become a critical tool that goes beyond the aesthetic form, documenting world crises and revealing the contradictions of modernity.
