The thesis included the theme of the nightmarish as a crucial intersection point between the unconscious and visual expression in contemporary world painting. Nightmares here turn from psychological phenomena into an artistic language that deconstructs a reality burdened with violence and mystery.
The thesis concluded that the contemporary artist paints a reality that has turned into a nightmare (Wars, isolation, digital, environmental destruction) in which the painting reflects the psychological interior and is subject to the laws of psychological decay instead of the traditional perspective.
