The message included the theme of codes that are formed according to the artist's environment, heritage, and personal experience, which leads to a variety of abstraction, simplification, and innovation. These codes carry multiple meanings that the recipient can interpret in different ways, reflecting the artist's feelings and cultural values.
The thesis concluded that the cipher in contemporary world painting represents a productive medium of meaning and not just a veil of it, transferring painting from the power of the Seeing Eye to the power of the thinking mind.
