The message presented by the researcher (Nour Al-Huda Salem barshan) aims to reveal the nature of this compulsion and the mechanisms of its presence in the contemporary Iraqi formation.
The message included the concept of compulsion as a system of intellectual, cultural, social and institutional influences and pressures that exert their presence directly or indirectly on the artist, the artwork and the recipient at the same time.
The thesis concluded that compulsion is a structural phenomenon, not accidental, in the contemporary Iraqi formation, rooted in the formative structure of the artwork, and that it does not work as a single mechanism, but rather an interconnected network of pressures moving together in a single visual space.
