
The Department of Art Education at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, held a joint art exhibition for handicrafts.
The exhibition included a group of handicrafts of an aesthetic and artistic nature, as well as materials that were recycled for students of the second stage, morning and evening, under the supervision of a number of the department's teachers.
Dr. Zain Al-Abidin Jassim, head of the department, said that the exhibition will last for two days, coinciding with the university's celebrations of its 54th anniversary.
Jassim indicated that the exhibition is the products of students for the morning and evening studies, and it was supervised by a number of the department's teachers.
The teacher, Amani Qassem, one of the exhibition's supervisors, said that the department used to hold this exhibition annually and that the exhibits are products and ideas of the students and were made from raw materials and wooden consumed materials that have been reformulated in a variety of artistic forms.
