With the continuous support of the esteemed President of the University of Basra, and the tireless effort of the members of the International Classifications Unit, and the tireless work of the university’s faculties, especially the College of Fine Arts and the University’s Cultural Center, the University of Basra won the first place for the Higher Education Award in Asia for the year 2021.

It won first place in the (Creativity and Arts) award at the level of Asian universities for the year 2021. It was followed by international universities such as Beijing University of International Culture of China, Zhejiang University of China, Hamad Bin Khalifa University in the State of Qatar and other international universities in Asia.

It should be noted that the University of Basra is the only Iraqi university to receive an award within the higher education awards in Asia, and no Iraqi university has ever been ranked first in Asia.
