As part of the Tamkeen initiative to support talents, the Department of Fine Arts, Painting Branch, at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, organized a joint art exhibition for the productions of third-year students entitled (We Draw to Rise).

The exhibition, which was inaugurated by the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, included more than 45 artworks in which oil colors were used. His topics varied between nature, heritage, motherhood and portraiture, under the supervision of the teachers in the department.
