The College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, holds a symposium on the intense idea and distortion of the form in caricature

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, held an electronic symposium on the condensed idea and distortion of shape in caricature drawing.

The symposium, which was moderated by the assistant teacher Hadeel Iyad and the assistant teacher was lectured by the assistant teacher Nasser Abdul-Hussein Al Bu Sultan, included a definition of the art of caricature in the language, which is highlighting the characteristics of a character, exaggerating the irony and condensing the idea through the use of the accompanying brief comments that are followed in the written comment by points that make the connoisseur (the addressee) ) or the recipient interprets or completes the idea posed by the sender (the artist) and the historical root of caricature through history

The symposium also discussed that the ancient artist is no less skilled, artistic and cynical than the contemporary or modern artist, and that human strength is important because it evokes passion and feelings and this strength has undergone transformations in his craft from the principle of violation and not subjecting human strength to the recognized golden proportions.

The scientific symposium aims that the art of caricature was not of interest by researchers in graduate studies, despite the impact of this art on society, politics and the world. The language of caricature is a language that is easily read in all parts of the world without the need for writing.
