Tamkeen Project

The project consists of multiple programs to support the energies and talents of all segments of society, free of charge

This project provides a community service that crystallizes the university's support to the community, which enhances its leading role and position in international and local rankings.

Project name: Tamkeen.

Project Presenter: Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Aboud Al-Kinani - Dean of the College of Fine Arts - University of Basra.

Project launch: April 2021.

Vision

Developing the capabilities and talents of youth and students, developing themselves and their personality, and setting goals through which he can plan a development project that guarantees a bright future for them.

the message :

The development of human resources for the youth and students segment to keep pace with the development of civilization and technology in thought and behavior in a way that contributes to the development of society and its development in all different fields in order to build a developed society that has a civilized dimension.

Objectives

    1-Spreading awareness of the importance of academic learning, training and skills development.
    2-Developing individual skills and talents for young people and students and increasing experiences on a well-studied scientific basis
    3-Providing workshops and technical and training courses for self-development and development.
    4- Helping gifted groups to understand themselves and their social environment to enable and develop their personality

5-Applying modern strategies to overcome psychological pressures that hinder self-development and community development.
    6-Conducting sober scientific research by professors and students, which helps in solving problems that hinder personal and societal development.

7-Helping institutions discover the capabilities of the people working in them by holding workshops and technical courses in them.
    8-Providing scientific, psychological, social and professional consultations for all different segments of society.
    9-Providing training and guidance services to government and private institutions and individuals to contribute to the development of human resources working in the public and private sectors to develop their production in terms of quantity and quality.
    10- Discover the creators and provide them with appropriate care to continue their creativity on the one hand, and enhance this creativity in ways that suit their talents on the other.

The College of Fine Arts wins a silver medal at the Asian Universities Summit

The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah won the silver medal out of the eight best universities in Asia during the Asian Universities Summit held in Japan. This nomination constitutes a historic achievement for the University of Basra and the College of Fine Arts.
The award came in the field of innovation and excellence in the arts for the “Tamkeen” project, which was adopted and supervised by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani. The project, which spanned for more than a year, aims to develop skills and nurture the creative energies of youth, students and children.
The College of Fine Arts was nominated among the top 8 universities among 508 international universities at the summit held in the Japanese city of Nagoya for the period from 31-5 to 2-6-2022

It is worth noting that the College of Fine Arts with the University Cultural Center was nominated last year for the Oscar for Higher Education 2021 within the project (The Smile of a Child).
