A scientific lecture at the College of Fine Arts on contemporary Spanish art and its effects on the pioneering Iraqi artists

The Department of Fine Arts at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, held a scientific lecture on Spanish art and its effects on the pioneer Iraqi artists
The lecture, which was delivered by the plastic artist Dr. Kazem Shamhoud Taher, the lecturer at the University of Madrid, Spain, and moderated by Prof. Dr. Tahrir Ali, dealt with the topic of Spanish art as one of the active arts in the plastic scene in Europe, its role and its effectiveness on Iraqi artists, and what the Iraqi artist derived from the intellectual, aesthetic and performance trends
The lecture aims to build bridges of cultural and aesthetic communication between the Iraqi expatriate artists and the College of Fine Arts to supplement the educational movement

To benefit and learn about the experiences of our artists outside the country, and what this constitutes of benefit to students and teachers
The lecture concluded the importance of cross-fertilization and communication with Iraqi artists and seeing their experiences in their exile in the countries of the world
The symposium was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, the Head of the Performing Arts Department, Prof. Dr. Hassanein Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Zahra, the Head of the Fine Arts Department, Prof. Dr. Asma Samir, and a group of professors and students of the Department of Fine Arts.
