The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah holds a symposium (Representations of the ABCs of Iraqi Civilization in the Works of the Artist Dr. Qassem Mohsen).

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra held a symposium on (Representations of the ABCs of Iraqi Civilization in the Works of the Artist Dr. Qassem Mohsen), which was presented by Dr. Qassem Mohsen and moderated by the assistant teacher Hadeel Iyad Makki.
The symposium included an introduction to the career of the modernist artist Qassem Mohsen
The symposium discussed the technical used in the canvas, which looks like a relief sculpture, in addition to the type of symbols used that the artist gleaned from the fragrant civilization of Mesopotamia.
Reference was also made to a group of books written by Dr. Qassem Mohsen about the founders of plastic art, Jawad Selim and Faiq Hassan. The artist designed many book covers, including under a blue sky and the last statement, and many other publications

The symposium was attended by students and professors of our college, where Prof. Dr. Tahrir Ali and Dr. Nasser Abdul-Hussein praised the work of the artist Qassem Mohsen
The symposium aims to shed light on a list of modern Iraqi art, and for students to benefit from his works in their scientific research.
