The Theatrical Arts Department of the College of Fine Arts at Basra University opened a theatrical applied students' festival,  arabat motaa , coinciding with the celebrations of the university after its establishment. The head of the festival’s criticism committee, researcher Dr. Muhammad Abdel Zahra. A number of undergraduate students, graduate students and college professors contributed to commenting on the theatrical performance, and who influenced the theater scene with critical remarks and opinions from the theatrical work
