A philosophical lecture on Islamic arts presented by the lecturer, Dr. Ali Sharif Al-Sarafi at the College of Fine Arts, Basra University, entitled (Sense and Intuition in Islamic Arts), where the beginning of the lecture included a historical introduction and the importance of this art as it occupies a prominent place among major arts such as ancient Iraqi art and ancient Egyptian art And Greek art and Orientalists went on to regard Islamic art as the supreme of these arts, and that it was influential in other arts, such as the arts of the West. Intuitively by not paying attention to the senses because they represent the transient world and paying attention to what is intuitive as it harmonizes the invisible to reach the eternal essence that represents the absolute, and thus the Muslim artist was seeking to draw closer to God Almighty through that.
Recommendations: Paying attention to Islamic arts, as they are original and unique arts that carry a clear Islamic identity, and that is through the opening of a scientific section titled Department of Islamic Arts or Department of Calligraphy and Decoration because these arts represent great importance within Islamic arts.
