A master's thesis at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, examined expressive connotations in contemporary Iranian ceramic murals
The thesis presented by researcher Haider Ali Mohsen Yousef included the study of expressive connotations and how to express connotations characterized in the mural ceramic achievement, and the artistic diversity and special character of the potter culture and the Iranian ceramic heritage in contemporary formative spaces and premises capable of expression.
The thesis discussed how to express the wall ceramic work by the potter's methods and its stylistic interactions. This resulted in a study intended to clarify the ways of its aesthetic artistic expression.
The thesis aims to reveal the connotations in contemporary Iranian ceramic murals and to identify the expressiveness (artistic performance) in those murals.The thesis concluded that the expressive connotations expressed formative continuous signs in the formal interaction of the idea of ​​the potter in the aspects of the subject, including what affected him and formed understandable methods in the mural ceramic work.
