A master's thesis at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, examined the dramatic effectiveness of light according to the director's vision in contemporary Iraqi theater performances.
The thesis discussed the subject of the dramatic efficacy of light, and whether the light in the theater was moving towards achieving a dramatic reality according to the directing vision.The thesis aims to reveal the effectiveness of the drama of light according to the direct vision
The thesis concluded that the ability of light in the diversity of colors works on the diversity of times in which events take place and referring to the environment in which the theatrical event takes place, and that the process of optical reflection leads to the analysis of light according to its colors when it falls on the faces of the actors, so facial features, details and gestures appear in a manner that suits the dramatic situation.
