Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, the Department of Musical Arts at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra held an artistic ceremony to honor the top students
The ceremony included several paragraphs, led by the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah and the playing of the Iraqi national anthem
The Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kinani, said in his speech that he commended the first students as being the candle of the college and the pride of their family and ours. This year of attendance requires us to make a lot of efforts to achieve the desired success.Dr. Adnan Khalaf Sahi, a lecturer in the Department of Music, also praised the first students and our students to look strongly towards science, knowledge and advancement in a college that is considered the most beautiful among the colleges, which is the College of Fine Arts.
Al-Kinani also honored Professor Ali Qassem, the teacher at the college, for obtaining a master’s degree in musical arts, and the leader of the Nawa Ensemble and its founder, Mr. Omar Karim.
Then the series of artistic pieces of Noa Band for Musical Arts began, followed by other pieces of music by students of the Musical Arts Department.
And the ceremony ended with the presentation of shields of excellence to the top students
