The Faculty of Fine Arts holds an educational seminar on the phenomenon of drug abuse and its effects on mental and mental health and the legal consequences of its use

The follow-up department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, in cooperation with the Drug Control Unit in Basra, held an educational seminar on (the phenomenon of drug abuse and its effects on mental and mental health and the legal materials resulting from its use).

The seminar, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Saleh Dasher, director of the follow-up division of the College of Fine Arts, was attended by jurist Ali Mohsen Hamid, director of the legal department of drugs and psychotropic substances in Basra, and professor Muhannad Hassan Saud, director of the relations and media division at the Department of drugs and Psychotropic Substances, and an educational lecture on the importance of drugs as a rampant phenomenon in society, especially at the present time, as recent statistics have indicated a significant increase in the number of drug abuse, which requires us to make every effort to reduce this phenomenon.

The seminar aims to introduce students to the danger and impact of drugs and the serious and psychological effects of them and their impact on the individual, family and society. There will also be cooperation between the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Directorate through the provision of educational presentations, plays and short films produced by the students of the faculty in order to spread awareness and demonstrate the seriousness of this scourge that threatens the stability of society.
