A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Basra discussed the aesthetic and technical dimensions of embalming in the contemporary form.
The thesis presented by the researcher Tahsin Ali Hussein included the topic of mummification, which is considered one of the mysterious and controversial arts in many of its parts, and its close connection with death, life, survival and death has increased the excitement in it.

The aim of the thesis is to identify the technical construction of embalming according to contemporary possibilities and how to interact with different materials within one work.

The thesis concluded with the multiplicity of methods and tools of contemporary taxidermy art according to the mechanisms and requirements of contemporary thought based on pluralism and impermanence and updating its intellectual and formal works in a way that ensures the continued growth and endless development in human knowledge.
