A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra discussed the formal semantics of environmental elements in the branding of Arab institutions.
The thesis presented by the researcher Hashim Zaki Muhammad Ali included the importance of environmental symbols and forms in providing the field of art with vocabulary that would enhance its function in embodying the artwork starting from the first practices of man, as he relied on symbolic vocabulary and simple signs.
The thesis aims to study the semantics of environmental elements and the mechanisms of their formation structure in brand design , Arab institutions. 
The letter concluded that contemporary technology has brought about a significant change in the field of design, through specialized programs in the field of brand design, it has facilitated the artist and designer to complete the work more quickly and with higher accuracy.
