A doctoral thesis at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra discussed the parallel text in the contemporary Arab play. The thesis submitted by the student Alya Jabbar Sahim included a theoretical framework and contained three topics .. The first topic shows what parallel texts are about philosophical and human values And the aesthetic that emerged from thinking about the value of being and being. The second topic was on parallel texts and textual thresholds in the modernist perspective in Western and Arab thought. The third topic lamered the parallel texts between the thresholds and the dramatic structure of the text, which included a group of selected texts that could be an analytical research value for these dramatic textual thresholds. The research began in the procedural chapter at the level of analyzing the samples of theatrical texts chosen by the researcher. Whereas, the aim of the research was identified within several levels, the most important of which is to identify the logical dimensions of the parallel text in a dramatic way, and to define its identity in contemporary Arab play in the hypothesis of its text. The thesis concludes ... the parallels of the origin of essence follow it between the reference and its transformations and between the reality of action and its perceptions at the level of human ideal thinking.
