The Faculty of Fine Arts organizes an awareness workshop entitled economic violence against women is a crime and a tool

Under the patronage of the president of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, assistant professor Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani.
The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra-women's Empowerment unit in cooperation with the Basra police command, the University of Basra, the human development unit, the College of education for girls and the audio-visual arts department organized an awareness workshop entitled economic violence against women is a crime and a tool.
The workshop was presented by the director of the women's Empowerment unit at the college, Khadija Shoukry Faisal, in which lieutenant colonel montazir Kazem nehma from the Community Police Division and A.M.Dr. Abdulkarim Zayer from the Human Development Division and A.M.Dr. Rafif Abdel Hafez from the Department of educational and psychological sciences on the subject of economic violence, which begins with the use of discriminatory methods in dealing, education and acquiring skills, and in many cases they are deprived of a good education or the development of certain skills that provide them with some kind of economic independence.
The workshop aims to introduce the importance of this violence, which seeks to anonymize women and also a form of differentiation between men and women in all respects and ultimately leads to the marginalization of women and their vulnerability.
