The division of continuing education in cooperation with the Department of plastic arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Basra, held an attendance seminar entitled avant-garde new language in contemporary art.
The seminar presented by M.M. Sawsan Mohammed Hamza and managed by M.Dr. Marwa Nizar Youssef a complete definition of the term avant-garde, which is a style of art that contradicts what is traditional and fashionable, a literary term that refers to people and experimental works renewed. He derived his elements from political and cultural trends that continued into the nineteenth century.
The symposium aims at innovation in art, as this term added a new trend from the fashionable to the innovative through new approaches in style and subject matter.
