His doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Basra examined exaggeration and assumptions of meaning in contemporary global sculpture.
The thesis presented by the researcher ban Hamid Hadi aims to explain the topic of exaggeration and how it manifested itself in contemporary global sculpture as it represents one of the diverse styles in global sculptural constructions.
The thesis included the most important formal effects of exaggeration on the sculptural work and a statement of their relationship and effects on the recipient and the extent of his ability to sense various meanings of the sculptural work.
The thesis concluded that exaggeration was enhanced in the aspect of artistic effect in a different way, such as zooming in and out in an attempt to attract the recipient through an aesthetic experience that reinforced the idea.
