A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra examined the effectiveness of digital collage to replace meaning in contemporary composition.
The message presented by the researcher Safa mowafak Abdul Samad aims to reveal the transformations at the level of ideas and connotations added by digital collage in the contemporary plastic arts.
The message included an explanation of the developments and transformations taking place in art, based on the collection of a set of visual texts that have made a clear transformation in all technical aspects of the production of collage art.
The letter concluded that the collage technique allowed to present new artistic creations based on a digital or printed photograph or a photo processed by software.
